Giosue Cozzarelli’s name has gone global and the video of the Miss Panama contestant giving her brilliant response during the competition is viral. This poor girl gave an answer similarly dumb to Miss Teen South Carolina 2007, but we will get back to that.

Giosue Cozzarelli could not explain a Confucius quote she just read: “Learning without thought is labor lost.”

Cozzarelli said,

“Confucius was one of whom invented confusion, and that’s why, eh. One of the most ancient, he was one of the Chinese. Japanese who were one of the most ancient.” Thank you.”

Well at least she is really pretty, as you can see.

Her response is very comparable to Miss Teen South Carolina who was asked,

“Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can’t locate the United States on a world map. Who do you think this is?”

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq and everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa and should help Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.”

Miss Panama Giosue Cozzarelli has the beauty, no dispute, but after watching this clip one is left to wonder whether there are any brains there at all.

You may recall America's finest - Miss Teen South Carolina - who basically said America should give maps to everyone so they could find "the Iraq" "and everywhere like such as".

That one was all over the media for weeks as people couldn't seem to let go.

And with all the controversy about Miss California's recent statement on gay marriage and publicity battle with gossip magnate Perez Hilton, beauty queens are enjoying (?) some time in the limelight.

This one, however, takes the cake for me.

It boils down to "Confucious invented confusion and was the oldest Chinese person." There are subtitles in the video so you can follow along with the madness. But, watch it once more. My favorite part is the confidence with which she answers the question. You know she's thinking "this is so made up, but I'm so hot nobody will notice."

Sadly, she might have been right pre-YouTube, but unfortunately for Miss Panama, everyone around the world is seeing her most embarassing moment. I'd like to say we're laughing with her, but, notsomuch.

you really think panama is only 12% black?

i got a bridge to sell you;
no matter the population, the latin countries have some of the most blatant racism i have ever seen;
even a country with a large black population like the dominican republic, will avoid showing blacks on tv at all costs, or in positions of esteem;
they certainly would NOT choose a black woman to represent them in a beauty contest

and even the blackest blackitty black person from the DR, will not refer to themself as black, rather &quot;hispanic&quot; so as to distance themself from the blackies.

once again you're in denial;

i have said panama is NOT 12% black...it is way more than that...it's just that places like panama &amp; DR are so against black they try to downplay the black population...
and like i said they would NOT choose a black woman to represent them in a beauty contest...

yes, but to them you have to look like charcoal to be considered 'black';

you will have to search with a fine-tooth comb to find black women from latin countries ever wearing their natural hair;

when i was in puerto rico, they routinely referred to my type of hair as 'bad hair'
