Well this can be true of almost anything that relies on human intervention.
Factual books were/are also capable of inaccuracies. One thing that wikipedia does allow is the simultaneous participation of potentially millions - if not billions of sources, so chances of a truth lying undiscovered and uncorrected is reduced significantly.
