Wasn't a mother shot and killed by her toddler in the US some weeks back? I think the story said he was in the shopping cart (prolly in Walmart :/), reached into her purse, pulled out the loaded hand gun and that was Mom done.

They were doing some post-holiday shopping in electronics department
"This is a pretty tragic incident right now that we're dealing with," police rep says
A 29-year-old mother was fatally shot Tuesday in an Idaho Walmart when her 2-year-old son in the shopping cart grabbed a gun that was in her purse and shot her in an apparent accident, authorities said.
Detectives were investigating the scene and Walmart officials immediately shuttered the store in Hayden, said the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.
The mother was identified by the sheriff's office as Veronica J. Rutledge of Blackfoot.
At the time, the mother and son were shopping with other family members, authorities said.

"The shooting appears to be accidental," said a statement by Sheriff Ben Wolfinger and Lt. Stu Miller.
At a press conference, Miller said the mother was shopping at the back of the store in the electronics department.
"It appears that the victim brought several of her children here to do some shopping after the holidays," Miller told reporters in the parking lot. "The child looks like to be sitting in the shopping cart with the purse while the female victim was shopping."
"Here it is around the holidays, just after Christmas and right before the New Year -- tragic, tragic accident," Miller said. "It's not a pleasant experience right now."
The shooting occurred about 10:20 a.m.
"A very sad incident happened in our store in Hayden, Idaho, that involved a female customer," said Walmart spokesperson Brooke Buchanan. "We are working closely with the local sheriff's department as they investigate what happened."
The Walmart will reopen Wednesday morning, officials said. When and how do parents educate children about guns?
When its hot in the jungle of peace I go swimming in the ocean of love.....
So you have tested this particular 3 year old ?And in your estimation he was capable of pulling the trigger?
are you trying to be obtuse?
i am simply suggesting that based on norms there is nothing presented in the story so far that would suggest that this 3yo was incapable of pulling the trigger.

the complete opposite would be that there is somthing presented in the story hat suggests the child was incapable of pulling the trigger..what did i miss?

Semantics
I do not believe the child was capable of the crime...Is that simple enough for you?.......
I started the thread by saying that and I have seen nothing to make me think otherwise...You evidently think the child could have done it and since neither one of us was there!!!!!
Mother Shot Dead by 3-Year-Old While Changing Another Child's Diaper
BY AMANDA MICHELLE STEINER @amandamichl 11/26/2014 AT 10:45 AM EST
A young mom is dead after being shot in the head by her 3-year-old son in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Christa Engles was changing her 1-year-old daughter's diaper when her son found a semiautomatic handgun under the couch, KJRH reports.
Engles, 26, who lived with her mother and husband, was alone with the children at the time of the accident on Monday evening.
The woman was rushed to the hospital after her mother arrived home and found her daughter "in the front room of the house as if she was changing the 1-year-old's diaper," Tulsa police Sgt. Dave Walker said in a statement to Tulsa World.
Additionally, the grandmother also "found the two children covered in blood," a neighbor, Vera Bennett, told FOX 23.
"We think this is a horrible, horrible accident," Walker added. "The neighbors, family, co-workers, and church family quickly gathered around this family in support of them during this terrible time."
Husband Brian Engles, a truck driver, arrived home hours later. He shared the news of the tragic accident with family and friends on Facebook, New York's Daily News reports.
"I lost my wife to an accident yesterday," he allegedly wrote. "Don't forget to tell your loved ones they are loved. You really never know when the last I love you is really the last."

3-year-old shoots dad, pregnant mom in Albuquerque motel room

A 3-year-old boy shot his father and pregnant mother inside a New Mexico motel room, police said Sunday. Both parents are recovering. The Albuquerque Police Department said in a statement that it appears the toddler managed to take a handgun out of his mother’s purse and fire one shot in the America’s Best Value Inn on Saturday afternoon.
The bullet hit the father in the buttock, exited the man’s hip and then struck the toddler’s mother in the shoulder, according to police. The mother, who is eight months pregnant, is hospitalized in stable condition and the father has been treated and released, police added.
Justin Reynolds said he and his girlfriend, Monique Villescas, were getting ready to order pizza when he heard a gun go off. “The next minute I realized my girlfriend was bleeding,” he told NBC News station KOB. “Then I sat down and realized I was shot too.” Reynolds said he immediately called 911 and grabbed towels to try to stop Villescas’ bleeding.
“I just took action right away,” he told KOB. “I was more worried about my girlfriend than myself and anything else that was going on. And my son because I didn’t know if he had shot himself or not. He was shocked and crying. It was traumatizing.” Reynolds added that he was grateful his Villescas’ two-year-old daughter - who had been sitting her to her mother at the time - was not injured.
The Albuquerque Police Department said both children have been placed on a 48-hour hold. The case will be forwarded to the district attorney’s office and the parents could face negligence charges, the force added.
