You don't think that all Jamaica has to do is to send our participants 4 times too until they win?
you really think th eIndians have anything above the Jamaican candidates?
i give you that they have experience and also have theadvantage of emersion in th eamerican probn0unciations. On 2 seperate occasions, in th eyears after Jamaica won, they mispronounced the words that failed the Jamaican candidate. If they wer repeat candidates, they would be more prepared.

Well doc,you are quite entitled to question anything I post,I have no problem with that, I have no time for pamby pamby inferiority complex as demonstrated by some statements on here.

The best speller won,the jamaican entry failed to correctly spell a word and was eliminated as per the rules....end of.

If the Indian children are born Americans or children of American citizens then they have a leg up on our Jamaican kids.. I'm not familiar with all the rules but I'll put it to you, this is probably where we need to start to make &quot;the come back&quot;. We should seek a level playing field, this is all I'm saying!...

In my opinion, it is not so much that the &quot;best speller&quot; won as much as the luckiest speller won...Point being, maybe the winner would have spelled &quot;auscultation&quot; wrongly as well..the winners win only because they got a word that they knew how to spell...all those children in my book are winners!!

Now if we want to talk about &quot;best&quot; let's look at SAT and GMAT scores among other things...all students received/sat &quot;the same test/exam..&quot;
