i don't know if it's totally racial; a lot of bollywood actors don't kiss onscreen...
and chowdhury is american or americanized...
perhaps a cultural thing?

That was also my thought as well. ~ It's a result of &quot;brainwashing&quot; by the white establishment (the inferior thing)... Why would any white want to kiss or to be kissed by any &quot;black&quot; given such inculcation? <span style="font-weight: bold">OTH, we were always so willing to Kiss or be Kissed by &quot;them&quot; and thought nothing of kissing them...</span> Who can remember the big furore over one of Belafonte's ealier movies where he supposedly kissed a white woman in one of the scenes? it was not even a frenchie! They were boycotts all over the U.S. South...

I guess it made some blacks feel EQUAL or accepted... We must also remember that on Darwin's chart, the &quot;black race&quot; is at the bottom; no wonder the Indian actress had her reservations when it came to kissing Smith for public viewing, her parents may get to see it. It's time that &quot;blacks&quot; not waste our kisses on &quot;those&quot; who doesn't want to kiss or to be kissed by us, especially in acting roles. They either want to work or not; they dont get to decide. Hygiene is always a factor for blacks as well as whites...
