The Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC) has started to offload its large holding of idle lands in a bid to raise additional funds this financial year.
Following an announcement a year ago that it would reduce its real estate portfolio, the KSAC established a Divestment Committee.
Mayor of Kingston, Desmond McKenzie, says three properties have already been placed on the auction block.
"We just concluded one where we sold Claro for almost $2 million just about three months ago. So we are moving and we are putting together a proper data base for all the properties that are in my Council and those that we can dispose of we will dispose of them," said Mayor McKenzie.
