I used to travel to Ja a lot in 2000-2003 thru MIA han FLL.
As a US resident, I preferred MIA. Ongly once did a sniffing dawg appear. The personnel are pretty good.
At FLL there was a brass haired _itch that harassed everybody in a crude & loud semi literate voice. I'd rather drive to MIA than put up with that harassment.

I forgot about the dog greeting the plane at the airport and sniffing everything in the custom department, yeah....another reason I don't miss MIA.

i never have any problems in miami

i actually kinda like going there - feels like i'm still farrin

the folks talk to me in spanish - and i say que tal como esta and i make sure i eat some cuban food before my next flight

the dogs are there - but last time the dog signaled someone - and they had christmas cake in their bag

they are looking for bombs more than drugs these days

i also put one of my business cards in my passport - when they open my passport - it falls out - my way of letting them know i have a legitimate job

go with the right attitude and it can be "interesting" - just pretend you are in cuba and still on vacation

if you buy liquor - make sure you have room in your suitcases - because you will have to check it before taking your next flight

Why not just leave the big suitcases behind? They more than likely will be empty anyway.

Miami is ruff, but no need for the attitude cause them just doing them job and furthermore, you will only be inviting trouble.

So, me curious as to why you are so concerned. Got something to hide?

mi have dem dog deh weh mi work suh mi used to might as well get used to dem is a way of life now suh juss easy and gwaan choo

have a strong drink before yuh get off the plane

No I have nothing to hide and as for the suitcases I will be there with my little girl for 3 months and need that many suitcases for clothes and all the things to keep little miss comfortable for that time. Will be bringing all our things back with us. As I have always flown Air Ja did customs in Lax. Just curious what the proceedure was in Miami. Hope that answers your question...

Just don't worry yourself as Gen said. Me doubt them will bother you if you have your little girl with you. Them usually don't want to expose children to the drama and trauma. Them will more bother people like me.

Me still think you will be coming back with at least two of them cases EMPTY.
