American Idol’s runner-up is one step closer to becoming a glam-rock superstar.
Adam Lambert has inked deals with 19 Entertainment and RCA Recordings — and will be working on a debut album that is expected in the fall.
“I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” Lambert, 27, said in a statement. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!”
Simon Fuller, the creator and executive producer of American Idol, sung Lambert’s praises in the statement: “To find a talent as exceptional as Adam Lambert is a rare and special event … I am thrilled that American Idol was the platform for the world to discover this brilliant young man. He is unique and unforgettable and a certain star of tomorrow.”
Lambert will record his album this summer while on the road with the other top 10 contestants for the Idols Live Tour, which kicks off July 5 in Portland, Ore.
The press release also encourages fans to check out Lambert on the cover of Rolling Stone, out June 12, for a story in which he has promised “all your questions will be answered” about his sexuality.

they really need to just quit. They did the same thing with Rueben and Clay, yes Rueben won but the way Clay was promoted was ridiculous. I quit watching a while back.
