I agree,the large corporations are either losing profits,or going into administration and yet some people seems to be spending oblivious to the so-called recession.

SistaCry – my brother works for a wealthy – extremely WEALTHY man.

My brother came to NY to visit me a few weeks ago. He’s been in Palm Beach on an assignment with his boss down there for 18 months now. 18 month straight.

So my brother and I were driving in Manhattan and we came to a stop light. I notice him staring out the window – firmly fixed was his gaze. His eyes started to well up.

I looked over and asked him what was wrong and to see what he was staring at ...

He saw on the news that they sold the last Island that he had his heart set on...

There was a homeless man on the street, curled up in the corner and holding a sign begging for food.

No - he wasn't bawling with a river of tears washing thru the front seat but, he completely, unconsciously, welled up and brought his hand up over his mouth, covering it in disbelief.

Yuh hear mi?!

He started telling me how long its been since he’d seen a homeless person. Almost 2 years and he’d not seen one – he literally forgot what a homeless person looked like – it was like seeing an alien for him. He almost couldn’t grasp the concept. He said there are no, NONE, not one single homeless person on the streets of PB and it’s surroundings.

I was floored.

Can you imagine?

The wealth in Palm Beach is phenominal and no matter what they say, it ain’t hurtin’ THAT bad.

So his boss lost $15 million to Madoff.

When the story broke about Madoff, the dust settled and the boss got the bottom line of how much he lost, my brother said that he and his wife went on carping about how they “almost lost everything!” blah, blah, blah.

Meantime – the guys NET worth is still, even after this economic tsunami we’re all navigating - $625 million.

And yes they STILL filed a claim.
