A man and a woman were found dead with gunshot wounds to their head Saturday night in a Briarwood motel in what was deemed a murder−suicide, police said.
The bodies of Anthony Grant, 46, and Suzanne Grant, 45, were discovered in a room at the Best Western at 87−7 Van Wyck Expwy. at around 12:33 p.m. Saturday, police said. A police spokesman could not confirm how the Grants were related.
“We know it’s domestic, but the relationship we don’t know,” he said.
Police responded to the hotel after receiving a 911 call of people passed out at the hotel, authorities said.
Once inside, police found the Grants with gunshot wounds to their head, authorities said. They were declared dead at the scene, police said.
Ellen Borakove, spokeswoman for the city medical examiner’s office, said Suzanne Grant was shot in the head before Anthony Grant turned the gun on himself.
Venice Young, who identified herself to the New York Post as Anthony Grant’s girlfriend, told the paper that he dropped off one of his sons at the house they shared at around 11 p.m. Friday and she did not see him since then.
