I am not a Vick fan but there is another animal cruelty case that is also interesting. Not sure how many of you know about the alleged cat killer in South Florida who killed 19 cat. The experts are saying chances are he will spend a few months in prison and be out soon. I also heard one expert say there is a 80% chance this guy will become a serial killer. All the famous serial killers, including Ted Bundy, started this way. What is the chances of this guy being monitored once he is out of jail. I think nil...Why not give him a 30 year probation...

plaxico burress's gun actually went off in a crowded nightclub; someone could have been killed- he will play this year;
pacman jones got into an altercation where a man was shot &amp; paralyzed...he was suspended a few games;
another guy killed someone in a drunk-driving incident; played again;
in fact i can't recall any athlete who killed or maimed a human getting the treatment that vick has gotten

oj was not convicted of the crime accused in a court of law &amp; i am not one of those people who knows exactly what happened despite not being on the crime scene at the time it took place to where they witnessed everything;
personally mi bun fiyah pon oj and all his supporters at that time as i did on all the people who just 'knew' he did it...&amp; his case has nothing to do with michael vick's;

So they take the best they could get under the cirsumstance.

Money talks,...and when one side have it and the other doesnt it tends to talk even louder.
A couple years ago my cousin gave a lift to a bunch of school kids in his pick up,..he drove like a bat out of hell and took a corner very fast dashing a 14 school girl off the vehicle mashing up her face and brukking up a couple bones,....two to one the victim`s mother is dung the police station where my cus is reporting the accident telling them she doesnt want to press no charge,...and taking cus aside and asking him to sekkle up with some money.

Thanks for clarifying the federal vs state. Yes, federal penalties are much higher but 30 days seem really low.

I know this family took a settlement and it seems they were bought out. I sympathize with them as I get the feeling they do not want to re-live the whole case in court again. I saw the family on TV and they were devastated. The media is reporting his 15 year old daughter took it really hard. Imagine going through 2 trails; Civil and Criminal. Plus in the civil they will be accusing the victim of wrong doing. I know money talks but I don't get the feeling it was about the money for this family.
