Ever since I was a child I could never feel justified to talk about something that I would not even attempt to research at some length, so my collections include 500 year old Indian Utensils, Nazi paraphernalia, KKK materials, books on scientific answers, books on historical facts, famous crime cases, book on cars, books on guns, books on engineering, as well mini models of some machines, etc, etc, etc and the aforementioned Racist Black caricatures

<span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">I am saying all the above to say this</span> I like to be informed and to be able to argue a point with some reference to verifiable facts, rather than mere hearsay, feelings or dishonest intentions quite unlike most of <span style="font-family: 'Arial Black'">the experts</span> here do daily.

Yes,however there are also those who come on the internet acting as if they speak for all black people,and they have the monopoly on all things black,and they experience what every black person experience,..most of the time their arguments lack credibility because they themselves promote just as much racism as they argue against.

I always believe that <span style="font-weight: bold">talk</span> is <span style="font-weight: bold">talk</span>,.....pure and simple,it`s <span style="font-weight: bold">action</span> that are important,...what people <span style="font-weight: bold">do</span> in their everday lives to combat racism is much more important than what they come onto a bulletin board to copy and paste,.....some of us has been living in predominantly white countries and fighting racism much much longer than the juss comes who simply <span style="font-weight: bold">talk</span> about racism because (a)it`s fashionable to do so,...and (b)because others has paved the way and make it possible for them to exist in societies that they spout hatred for everyday.

Not to dispute this but the first and only arguments about a post racial America that I saw on the board was from posters who form the <span style="font-weight: bold">Black Champion Wing</span> of the Board, a couple of whom claimed Barack was not Black enough, seizing upon his line about running a post racial campaign, which he had used a number of times including once to denounce Rev Wrong, to point out that he was now in whitey’s camp.

At that time I pointed out that it was his line, his feelings, but only a seriously jaded person would think the USA at this moment has moved to a Post Racial state. In fact it was demonstrated towards the end of the campaign that ultra-right racists feelings was even more amped up <span style="font-style: italic">(to no one's surprise)</span> than in previous years when a democratic President was about to be elected.

I am not angry,..there is no anger in my post,I dont see where you could have found any anger there....In any case,I dont see any &quot;africentrists&quot; on here,..just a small minority of people constantly berating others about their approach to racism.

However,with regards to the first lady and the president of the united states,we as black people are going to have to get used to the fact that not everyone is going to think obama is god`s gift to the world,..not everyone is going to like him because of his colour,...and certainly not everyone is going to like him politically,...Bush had HIS fair share of p!$£ taking for most of his presidency.

A while back one member had started a post about a French ONG running a dodgy adoption business in Africa. It ended up having only about 25 posts. Recently, someone else started a thread about a celebrity adoption in Africa. Words were thrown on all sides of the argument and the thread had well over a hundred responses.

However the discussion is about people mocking Obama's color - or at least how they perceive his color. This concerns me as I am seen the same way by the majority population. I had the same reaction to racist cartoons of Condie Rice even though I don't agree with her politics.

I cant answer for tuffgong but in my opinion I would say yes it does have some racial connotations,but does not necessarily suggest racism,does the picture suggest that the sender considers him/herself more superior..?....or does it suggest someone making fun of someone based on their racial features,or based on stereotype of the person`s race...It`s difficult to tell.

In any case the image is inappropriate.

The problem with this of course is more problem with it. If no one said so how do you go on to say that it is constantly implied in the media?
