what you are saying is rubbish doc, and I don't mind telling you.

I personally plaid some of his songs OUT in clubs, from the Hamptons to NYMFC to JA, all artists receive ASCAP/BMI checks for that. And I know plenty of other DJs who did so as well. Many of the same DJs who play at parties in clubs are also radio DJs...when Summer Jam was being promo'd and after the show Funkmaster Flex ran sets with MJ tunes.

Plus, I have heard the tunes on the radio PLENTY of times.

In fact there was a bit of a furor in the industry at some stations when they took Chris Brown songs off the rotations but were still playing R.Kelly and MJ tunes. Look it up.

theres a comic who said when michael jackson cut his nose, he damaged his ability to sniff out trouble, and that had he kept his black nose, he would have smelt trouble when he had those little boys around him.

i am with all who said he was flawed. emotionally and likely mentally.

years ago i read a story of the case, i think in vanity fair, and one of the things they discovered was that he was a secret drinker, that he drank alcohol disguised in a pepsi can.

i wondered if maybe drugs had something to do with his cardiac arrest, now cnn is speculating about that.

i became slightly repelled by him in his later life because of his looks and self-mutilation and self-hate. but i loved his music had a number of his albums, including his later ones. i think Bad was the last one of his that i bought.
