A Black women who is not married should go to community college and study something that is not intimidating to men baker, cake decorating, florist, event planning. Work as a flight attendant, model, hostess at an upscale restaurant or venue.

Once she is married then, she can go ahead and purse a higher education and hopefully she and the man can do it together and move up together.

In an ideal world that would be the way to go but it will take DECADES to do that and I don't know if we will ever get there. We have to deal with reality and as they are it makes no sense for Black women to continue pricing themselves out of the marriage market.

I can't believe that you are really saying that black women should remain uneducated, now it sounds not only sexist but racist.....where do you come up with these misguided ideas?

Ideal is a place we all hope to reach but know we never will, but continually strive toward it, knowing that every step takes us closer, we do not shy away from it.
Neither will it take decades to get there.

I have no black male friend or associate who dreams of marry an uneducated woman, they mostly desire a educated women as a marriage partner.

With few exceptions, when the woman is much more educated than the man the marriage simply does not work as the man feels threatened and begins to suffer from teenie-weenie syndrome. I'll never forget this Jamaican man up here who told his wife to leave her MBA at the door. There are of course exceptions but they are few and far between. .

This paragraph above is a perfect example of why many women do not find a mate and it has nothing to do with her education or lack there of..... but attitude.

So how is pricing themselves out of the marriage market providing Black women with options other than to increase the chances that they'll end up alone? I'm not getting it.

And you probable never will, so long as you hold on to notions that being uneducated give you a better chance at marriage. That's like what they told* black boys that getting an education or being smart means you are "acting white"......its a Myth that was never true in the black society/community.

Yeah you can tell your grand kids that crap, I will tell mine to get a proper education in the profession they desire to be in, not one dictated by marriage suitability. Then they will find a suitor worthy of them.
