Jaws dropped in disbelief at a go-go club in Portland recently, after a teenage girl was said to have suddenly become demon possessed.
The teenager had to be strongly restrained and taken to a 'mother woman' for immediate deliverance.
THE WEEKEND STAR heard that the 18-year-old girl went to the club with a group of friends last Saturday but in a short time started acting bizarre. She made strange noises, ran wildly around the club, cursed God and even began using a broken bottle to cut herself.
Valerie Hilton, a resident of Port Antonio in the parish, told THE WEEKEND STAR she witnessed everything. She also claimed she knew the girl as they are regular patrons at the club.
According to Hilton, the episode began when the girl who was drinking alcohol threw the bottle and its contents to the ground and began spinning in circles.
"Her friends were dying with laughter because they thought she was drunk," Hilton said.
Minutes later, however, they claim that they realised that their friend was actually not drunk.
Hilton said the girl fell to the floor while her body began to jerk as if she was having an epilepsy attack. This drew the attention of almost everyone in the club.
Before they could consider their next move, the girl was up on her feet again, with a piece of broken bottle in her hand which she used to cut herself while everyone watched in disbelief.
"Nobody was sure how to react ... . Everybody was just watching while she cut herself," Hilton said.
THE WEEKEND STAR was further told that the girl in a very coarse, male-sounding voice then began to utter a string of curse words while adding "not a God" numerous times and running around, pulling out her false hair and taking off pieces of her clothing. (now tell di troot, ongle a yaad reporter would tek di time fi add seh is false an not juss seh she did a pull out har hair, fullstop...:dwl

"Everyone simply moved out of her way while she was running up and down," Hilton said before adding that the girl was eventually held by a group of men after she threatened to cut someone's throat with the piece of broken bottle which she still had in her hand.
In describing the look of the girl throughout the ordeal, Hilton said, "Yu couldn't see nothing else in her eyes but white."
After being held by the six men, she was taken to seek the services of a mother woman.
THE STAR was yesterday able to talk to the mother woman, 'Mother Elliott', who confirmed that the girl was taken to see her.
When asked if the youngster was demon possessed, she said: "Some evil force was in the young lady indeed." She then added, "She seh she name Maria and that's not her name, so obviously something did wrong."
Mother Elliott said she chanted a few verses at first before casting the demon out of the girl. She has not been seen in the community since.
Contacted yesterday Nigerian-born Bishop Joseph Ade-Gold of Overcomers World Ministries said that while he was not aware of the specific case, the girls' actions seem to indicate that she was under some demonic influence.
Bishop Ade-Gold, however, explained to THE WEEKEND STAR that in a scenario such as this, he prefers to use the term 'demonised' and not demon-possessed as the ordeal lasted for a relatively short period of time.
"She was under some demonic influence and the environment may have caused that ... She was demonised though and not possessed, possessed is a very strong word ... but her actions does indicate that she had some demonic contact," Bishop Ade-Gold said. as long as him no stawt di fawt dem a do ovah so wid witchcraft etc
Police sources from the Area Two division said they have heard of the incident but are not familiar with the details.
