because the doctor had a genuine professional relationship with him........it would be deem unethical if the doctor did not know him at all and just gave him the prescriptions......this is how they look at it.

I disagree, what he did can be construed as MALPRACTICE..while he had a relationship with the patient, he knowingly and willingly rendered INCOMPETENT care to the patient...he even went as far as making "placebos."

That is absolute Bullcrap, and on those grounds alone he should be disbarred from practice for life!!

He did NOT have the patient's interest at heart, but for some strange reason held on to Pressly as a patient because he was rich and a good meal ticket.

He should have referred Presly to the proper physician who specialized in treating his problem, since obviously, the quack didn't.

Nothing more, nothing less.

In fact, maybe he is the one that initiated then perpetrated the addiction...to borrow Deepak's words..the fact that one has a relationship with the patient doesn't rule out the fact/possibility that the relationship can be an unethical one...like some psychologists who have sex with their patient to "cure" the patient who might have a sexual problem.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Fortunately now, all "doctors" can be checked out on line, including any charges, suspensions or even revocation of their licenses [some criminals still go to other states and 'practice']..it is now a Federal Law in most states, that their medical practice be up for scrutiny by any and everyone including their patients...</span>

but at least they<span style="font-style: italic"> eventually</span> suspended his license permanently, even if not directly from elvis. so they did get him off the streets (so to speak) in the end

...and maybe you know already Sistacaf, some of them don't go down lightly. they still henkah round the "field' pretending to be 'doctors" becozz they had a license before.

They are the deadliest, manage to weezle their way into some small town hospital or some boonies place where they don't run background check till mebbie ppl a ded mysteriously, then the news cum hout seh dem a quacks now..

The other thing they said on that show is ...if they knew that MJ was on all these "potent" drugs and combo at that, they should've had emergency equipment ready and able to deal with any emergency that might have resulted based on what was gwaaning.

i think one person spokle of a "defibrillator"...agen these things are becoming as common place as fire extinguishers in homes...and tuh think that with all MJ's money, he was "cheated" not even propah resuscitation equipment... Laawd, mi cyaan believe it..

and you know it might sound harsh but if it is your time to go no defibrillator or whatnot can help you...........most of these things have to be used within couple minutes of you going into cardica arrest........and not everyone is train in using it..........why some one never intervene <span style="font-weight: bold">radically</span> before this? if them know he was hook on these meds?

No, Applepie, you don't sound harsh...this is the reality.

I definitely agree that "when your number is up, your number is up." Nothing can save you, BUT a miracle..

But since, this guy had so much money, it is only logical to expect that he has the best of everything, including doctors who know what dem doing and emergency medical equipment...since as they were saying he was at more risk considering what meds he was taking.

I definitely agree that not everyone is trained in CPR, incl use of the defibrillator (AED) which is relatively new. However the "doctor" ie the quack should have taken the moment to upgrade his skills.

I think it should be proposed that CPR re certification be made MANDATORY for license renewal in all States.

btw Applepie, many schools are teaching very young children how to call for help and some are even being taught CPR. One kid was on the news recently, saved his schoolmate's life in the lunchroom.

Membah wi had di storie here the little one ? 3 yo. in Jamaica who called for help when the grandfather collapsed.

Unfortunately, and some of them do receive patients and deliver "care."

Cupple made it to 60 Minutes, so they are out there, masquerading as let's say "physicians." Dislike that word "doctor"..anyone can be a "doctor" but not every "doctor" IS a physician.

Ever been to some and they take only "cash?" **chukkle* heard of one who ppl go to for 'sick notes" to take to the job. Took only cash, but apparently he was a "good doctor" as well. *chukkle* agen.

Now the local rag here is listing a whole slew of meds that MJ who they are now calling the Pill Popping star, was ALLEGEDLY taking.

Supposedly leaked by a "good family friend."

The list include Demerol, Paxil, Dilaudid, Soma, Vicodin, Xanax, Vistaril and Prilosec..Which doctor in his right mind would prescribe these for the same patient?

..Unless when they did the history, and asked what meds he was taken, he didn't tell them.

Some ppl "love" the feeling that that some drugs provide them; and if they are addicted will "keep" a doctor because the doctor is there to help them feel good.

What a disaster !!!

The other thing mentioned is that MJ weighed only 125lbs, ate only 1 meal per day...seh wha?? which raises the question if the dosage of these drugs was tapered according to his weight..

I said, technically he was starving, plus wid all di rigourous "workout" an tarra...some said that whoever was talking about Comeback tour was ripping off MJ, was a liar...for he was in no way shape nor form physically able to do it..it was a pipe dream

"I've had physicians tell me many times that I was dependent on pain killers," she said. "They would turn around the next week and do surgery and use Demerol."

For decades -- until the medical establishment began to turn against it -- Demerol was regarded as the magic bullet of painkillers. But the drug, also known as Pethidine and more than a dozen other names, has a dark and dangerous side.

It is fast acting, comes in the form of a pill, syrup or intravenous injection, and was once regarded as safer and less addicting than morphine.

A 1983 report concluded 60 percent of US doctors prescribed it for patients suffering acute pain. It has since largely fallen out of favor, and doctors have turned to other drugs.

Side effects can include slow and shallow breathing, a weak heart beat and seizure, as well as bad interactions with other drugs.

But it produces a quick rush leading to euphoria -- and many users quickly become addicted.

Jackson seemed to know of the dangers when he wrote a song titled "Morphine" in 1997 -- with lyrics such as "Demerol. Demerol. Oh God, he's taking Demerol."<span style="font-weight: bold">

David Kennedy, the fourth child of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, was only 28 when he died in a Florida hotel suite of an overdose of Demerol, cocaine and the anti-psychotic drug Mellaril in 1984.</span>

Demerol addiction crept up slowly on Wynette, who, like Jackson, was treated for her painkiller habit at the Betty Ford Center.

She said she needed it to get through her 26 major surgeries and her grueling concert scheduled.

"I've depended on Demerol, plus a lot of medications, to get me through an awful lot of shows and a lot of pain," Wynette said.

Who killed Michael Jackson???

More reports about the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of Michael Jackson indicate that he might have been given an overdose of a prescription medicine called Demerol.

Demerol is a drug very similar to morphine. No, worse than heroine, demerol is actually a horrible chemical melange that does lasting damage to the biological system of any one addicted to it.

It is legally manufactured by the Pharma-Medical mafia and hawked off to the hapless and the naive as something approved by the authorities and thus clinically safe.

Although Rastafari condemns drug use, one could safely hazard that had Michael Jackson been on morphine, or even heroin, perhaps he could have been alive still even if they would have maligned him as a drug addict.

Now, instead he was formally prescribed a highly addictive psychedelic designer drug, so he would escape the tag of a drug abuser. But they took his life instead with a dangerous cocktail of hard drugs.

Reports indicated that Michael Jackson stopped breathing shortly after a rather high dosage of Demerol was injected into him. He was with his doctor at the time of his death. It is being reported that it was the same doctor who had injected him with demetrol.

His staff tried to resuscitate him through mouth to mouth breathing, but incidentally the performer could not be saved. He was pronounced death on arrival at the Hospital.

Superstars drugged to death

This tragedy brings to mind the death of Bernie Mac, who was similar slaughtered by a medically approved prescription drug regime.

Mr. Jackson’s has battled with addiction to psychedelic/psychiatric drugs for many years. Neverland employees reported that Jackson was “taking ten-plus Xanax pills a night.” These drugs are worse than any hard drugs but are freely sold in the pharmacies, and free manufatured by the pharma-medical mafia, and approved by the FDA.

When police raided Jackson’s Neverland ranch in 2003 the drugs found there included bottles of Vicodin, Oxycontin, Versed, Promethazime, Xanax and Valium.

Legalized drug dealing and drug abuse has taken a toll among the rich, famous and privileged since they often have the leverage to get those drugs under very liberal conditions.

Equally ironic is the fact that a life of wealth and privilege due to its its permissive ways robs the soul of its energy and cheer. This often brings on a sense of anomie, alienation and dissatisfaction leading to self-destructive behaviours.

For instance, Heath Ledger, the 28 year old actor found dead in his New York City apartment, died from a mixture of psychedelic drugs amongst them Xanax, Valium, OxyContin, Restoril, and Unisom. These are legal hard drugs. Dangerous considering the fate of Heath Ledger.

Anna Nicole Smith’s autopsy revealed that the actress had a combination of 11 legal psychedelic pills in her system when she died including Valium, Ativan, and the Noctec were among them. Dangerous hard drugs made and sold by government approved companies.

Daniel Smith, Anna Smith’s 20-year-old son died from taking a lethal mix of the antidepressants Zoloft and Lexapro along with methadone (painkiller, anti-addiction aid).

One can also count the late Elvis Presley (Michael’s post humous father-in-law) and Jimi Hendrix amongst the victims of the legal trade in hard drugs by the pharma-medical mafia.

One can also add Michael among this pre-eminent list of deceased addicts. Drugged to death by their doctors and health care providers, with legal psychedelic drugs, in a bid to heal a spiritual malaise which refuses to be resolved.

Requiems

As we mourn his untimely death the question will rise again and again, who killed Michael Jackson? The doctors…the pharmacists…the pharmaceutical industries…the hypocritical givernment… or the<span style="font-weight: bold"> Drug Enforcement Agnecy and their fake war against drug. Why did they have to kill Michael Jackson?</span>
