Tuff, it may be a little off topic but very relevant to the circumstances surrounding Michael's death... I have a hunch that the FDA is trying to get out front of the current exposure of &quot;Medical Malpractices&quot; by their <span style="font-weight: bold">licensed pushers</span> in an attempt to head off what could become a major enquiry. Such an enquiry should look into the &quot;willy nilly&quot; Dispensation of those drugs and others not mentioned, to many &quot;Celebrities&quot;.

Let's hope that MJ's unfortunate death will be a catalyst in getting Congress to launch an &quot;enquiry they would rather not have... Their ineffective rules, guidance and lax control over their &quot;doctors/pushers&quot; will make it imperative for the Govt to step up to the plate, get going quickly to clean up the operations of both the FDA and the DEA for starters... Too many have needlessly died, MJ should not die in vain; the time to act is &quot;now&quot;...

Multiple sources tell TMZ Michael Jackson's body had dozens of injection sites all over his body.

As we first reported, Propofol, a powerful anesthesia, was found in the house after Jackson died. Various medical experts tell us there is absolutely no medical justification for Jackson to have had this drug in his home -- it is used to knock people out before surgery. It is administered through an IV.

We're told Jackson wanted the drug to sleep and that he had cravings for anesthesia -- whenever he had even the most minor medical procedure ... he had the doctor put him under.

It is increasingly looking like Propofol may have caused Jackson to go into cardiac arrest and die. The doctors we spoke with say it's reckless for any doctor to supply Jackson with Propofol and especially reckless to administer it to him at home.

The fact that Jackson had dozens of injection sites on his body would have made it clear to any doctor that Jackson had a drug problem.

Criminal manslaughter is defined as the reckless disregard for human life. The talk in law enforcement -- this case seems to fit the bill.

So he seem to be getting it from a Vet, have a contact in the surgical department of some hospital that supplies him, or has an anesthesiologists supplying him with it.

Thanks for this info Fortylegs. This is more reason to really believe that MJ was under the care of QUACKS....<span style="font-style: italic">which is the driving theme of this thread</span>...

I am beginning to suspect that probable the drug was obtained from an overseas source...remember that MJ was in the Middle East and other foreign places, whre someone who had LEGAL access to &quot;pharmacologicals&quot; could dishonestly and illegally obtain it and made it available.

If that is the case, THEN THEY SHOULD BE CHARGED AS ACCESSORY TO MURDER.

Physicians are responsible for advising their patients about adverse side effects of ALL drugs...

9 put of 10 times, THEY DON'T.

It is consoling now to see where pharmacies include information about the drugs they dispense including adverse effects, the do's and dont's when taking such drug.

This was NOT the case with Tylenol, which the truth is finally being revealed that it can kill!!..not that all drugs if taken in large quantities don't have the potential to do so, but a &quot;household name&quot; drug like Tylenol is even deadlier than some of us wished to admit..

Many people have accidentally and INTENTIONALLY kill themselves from it's use...that's all I am going to say on that. There are many drugs out there that do not belong on the market, PERIOD!!

I think the timing is right Barosa, For months now, the Tylenol story has been making the news, about the potential for it to cause liver damage and even death....[include suicide]

I must say, it is really scary when one observes the &quot;drug culture&quot; that exists in major Western nations...even more frightening the aiding and abetting that &quot;doctors&quot; do to promote it.

The drastic irony is, many of these drugs that are prescribed for specific conditions can cause other disease[s]/conditions like diabetes, gout, arrhythmias that now have to be treated, [with other drugs] compounding the original problem...including the possibility of death if one increases the potential for life threatening conditions...**sigh**

**check newer drugs that haven't really undergone proper trials, and others that make the market like Fen-Fen when they shouldn't.

I don't know if MJ's death will be a catalyst, but it SHOULD BE....as you earlier stated, it is only when some bigwig celebrity succumbs under these circumstances, then they begin to take note....how many poor Medicaid recipient suffered the same fate, and it went UNREPORTED, much less investigated.

I suppose it's not going to be easy for either of the governing agencies to desist from &quot;sleeping with each other&quot;, if you get my drift... They have been so accustomed to their unholy alliance and assuagement of their relationships that it may be too much to ask of them... OTH, the AMA being a private organization with clout could be instrumental in making the first move but I wouldn't hold my breath. Many of those Doctors/Quacks are members and FEE PAYING ones to boot... At high levels in the of the organization there may be some &quot;sleeping with the enemy&quot; as well...

There is no way of knowing if powerful well connected &quot;pushers&quot; are at the <span style="font-weight: bold">decision making</span> levels within the confines of the AMA...? We will also never know if the pharmaceutical companies have a seat at their table... They will have to cease and desist, whether they like it or not, for with the changes that are coming, some of the profit motive for these drug companies will be under scrutiny..take the price of drugs in Canada vs the USA...why?? Why the discrepancy?

While some of the offenders might be big in the AMA and I say MIGHT...for who knows, I would want to think that there are &quot;ethicists&quot; who might come forward to give a stinging report on what is &quot;killing&quot; the respect for the profession...why a patient would look to a MD as a legal pusher, in addition to the fact that it time to put a stop to the hypocrisy called &quot;bad medicine..&quot;

The joke is this, the insurance companies have them by the balls as well, so whether they have clout or not will be seen when some of them have NO jobs...consider the malpractice insurance premiums some as high as over 225,00 per year that is eating them out...now...

Primarily, the drug companies have the money to &quot;buy&quot; some of these doctors inside and out..Financially, they are a force to be reckoned with ...some of the major perks given away in any industry occur right there in the medical field with doctors being the recipients...licky licky...

for example. a doctor will have a patient on a medication for quite some time, then all of a sudden they want to change the patient to something &quot;newer&quot; [something that they themselves don't even know the side effects...not yet in the PDR]..sometimes it is packages of meds that they give the doctors to &quot;push&quot; in their office, with the request to tell them how you like it...I've heard it happen to ppl I know, with adverse effects, and they had to be put back on their original meds.

Another topic for discussion is the sickening commercials/advertisements every evening before or right at dinner time....asking viewers to &quot;tell your doctor&quot; to prescribe whatever is advertised....isn't this a slap in the face of doctors, who are now at a stage where patients can tell them what they want? That is how MUCH/little the drug companies respect them.

As it turned out, one of them who came on advertising Lipitor, said he was a doctor, and he had taken Lipitor, only for them to pull the ad <span style="font-weight: bold">after it was discovered that he was lying, HE ISN'T EVEN A DOCTOR..he was misrepresenting himself. </span> ...so, the logic is, if he can lie about that, how much could his word about Lipitor be deemed truth....ie him wi lie bout anniting helse...
