Mr Tumble receives honorary degree in Dundee

Justin Fletcher, the star of children's TV shows Something Special and Gigglebiz, has been awarded the Doctor of Laws at Dundee University.
The presenter of the Cbeebies shows has been recognised for his work with children with communication difficulties, and for bringing the sign language Makaton to a wider audience.
Mr Tumble told the BBC he was delighted with the award.

A honourary degree represents a level of "social" achievement. Is suggests that you have a position of respect in society and as such it might be even be better than a regular degree in getting a job( i don't think they giving out honourary degrees in engineering or medicine ).

Not very often, but dem hav given it tuh inventors in di past. Years ago, dem also, would convert Technicians, or Technical Draftsman wid many years of experience, into Engineers. Den naa duh dat noh more, yuh haffi hav di papers now.

By di way, years ago, didn't dem use tuh bestow honorary credentials pan people (Lab assistants, nurses, an such) wid many many years of medical research experience an breakthrough, as well as, dealing wid war wonded in di field?
