Pop star Michael Jackson's memorial ended Tuesday with his 11-year-old daughter Paris taking the stage of the Staples Center in Los Angeles, following a star-studded tribute that included performances by Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson and Lionel Richie.

"Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine," Paris said, sobbing as she was surrounded by family.

"And I just want to say I love him so much," she managed to say before being hugged by aunt Janet Jackson.

it's funny how the loss of someone you've never met, never even truly known can touch you so deeply. I feel bad saying that I just kind of 'wrote off' Michael the last few years, i mean I respected his music and such but until he passed, I didn't realize how much of his stuff I absolutely loved and how big a part his music played in my life. My friends and I were discussing him talking about our favourite songs etc and the radio tributes made me realize that many of my favourite songs aren't the big hits. Keep the Faith, Good times, Got to be there, One More Chance, Butterflies. Michael TRULY was something special and I'm honoured to have been able to be alive to have experienced his genius as it came. RIP MJ. gone too soon for sure.
