The idea that blacks enslave and sold blacks is and was being promoted mainly by the great sellout historian Henry "skip" Gates. Never once does he make the point known that it was different in kind and degree. African indigenous slavery was more like a unpaid servant, who is given shelter clothing and food instead. Even to this day they have a system in Haiti called "restaveks" that is reminiscent of African indigenous slavery. Difference being most Continental African indigenous Slaves were war booty whilst "restavec" are freely given by a poor family to a comparatively richer family to rise and take care of in exchange for room and board.
