Losing candidate in Wednesday's Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) Presidential race, Allan Rickards is seeking legal advice about how to proceed in a potential challenge to the poll results.

According to Mr. Rickards, the issue arose from a constitutional matter
"It refers to a constitutional requirement in terms of the conduct of the Annual General Meeting that we feel was breached. As to the details of that, I would prefer to wait the instructions of our lawyers," he said.
Mr. Rickards lost the election to Mr. Harris by five votes.
The cane farmer has requested a recount, complaining of spoiled ballots and other voting complications.
He is also adamant Director of Elections Noel Lee did not declare winners in the first and second Vice Presidential polls.
Those posts were contested by Maria Azan and Bob Miller, who support Mr. Rickards, with former JAS President Senator Norman Grant and Glen Cruickshank backing Mr. Harris.
