this has been on my mind for long time.

why would someone make a post asking another denizen to pm him/her?

why would this individual not just send the other a pm?

all thanks for any help clearing up my mucky mind.

bink, you have the option of accepting or not accepting PMs thru your user perference. Some ppl turn it off for various reasons, so the only way to let them know, please turn it on so I can PM you, is to yell at them on the board.

Or, the more common reason is that they have hit the 200 maximum allowed PMs and once they reach the limit, their user profile will not allow you to send them a PM.

I had to clean out my box early this week So someone could PM me.
