PRINCE CHARLES DROWNS IN PORTLAND

NINTETEEN-year-old Prince Charles of New Road, St Margaret Bay, Portland drowned in the Rio Grande at Snow Hill, Portland yesterday.
Police said about 5:00 pm, Charles and friends went to the river and were swimming when he reportedly got into difficulties .
An alarm was raised and he later seen floating in the water. He was removed and taken to the Port Antonio Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In an unrelated drowning incident yesterday, a ten-year-old boy died after he went swimming with family members in the sea at Hellshire, Portmore, St Catherine.
He is Daniel Henry of Welsh Heights, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Police said about 11:50 am, young Henry was swimming when it was discovered that he was missing. A search was launched and he was later found floating in the water. He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
