Alleged drug dealer charged for massive seizure

The Area 3 Narcotics Police on Saturday charged 35-year-old Logan Russell alias "Shampoo" and "Lappa" in connection with a drug seizure in Red Ground, Negril on July 3.
Russell was charged with possession of, dealing in crack cocaine, cocaine and hashish.
Rusell surrendered to the police last Thursday accompanied by his attorney.
Reports are that a joint police team was in the area on July 3 when a premises at Red Ground was searched.
Investigators say 18 pieces of crack cocaine, raw cocaine weighting 3/4 pounds, five pieces of hashish along with $80,000 and an imitation firearm were seized.
A 1995 Toyota Corolla motorcar which was also at the premises was also seized.
The police also destroyed 1/4 acre of fully grown ganja and 50 pounds of cured ganja during the operation.
Russell is scheduled to appear in the Sav-anna-la-mar Resident Magistrate's Court on July 21.
Investigators say they are still searching for other persons wanted for questioning in connection with the July 3 operation.
