well, as i've said on here before, i know of one man in his 70s who still cries when he thinks of how his father used to hangle him. not everybody is tough enough rise past a rough and sad childhood - there's nuff going through the motions of an adult life while still bearing the wounds of the past.

i do believe that a parent has some role in acknowledging that the way he or she raised a child may have caused deep hurt and in taking steps to right things with the child who, for whatever reason, was unable to forget and forgive.

personally, i think from what i've read on the board that joe jackson has been given far too many allowances and has been excused for his terrible way of raising his children.

Lord it's not that deep, the whole interview was terrible. You just can't blame some devilish Larry king either. At one point Joe told Leonard to 'Get into it&quot; or something like that. Larry didn't have a clue what Joe was talking about and he had to repeat the darn thing again. Anytime you're talking about &quot;his hair was swenged from his head&quot; then yes he really needs to go somewhere and shut up.

Look how his big mouth is blaming Katherine for beating Michael, just like Debbie Rowe greed is his factor in speaking foolishness.

The issue is <span style="font-weight: bold">LARRY KING</span> has lost it when it comes on to conducting an objective and meaningful interview. Maybe he needs to retire.

What has been happening of late is deplorable, if it weren't Joe Jackson it would have been someone else to undergo these ridiculous probing, masquerading as journalistic work...

The media in general has consistently shown a lack of sensitivity when interviewing people who are in mourning. In the case of Joe Jackson, they give the impression that they still want a piece of Michael Jackson who is now dead and gone, so why not take Papa Joe instead?

Neutral, people and even psychologists are saying that MJ's unhappy childhood left an emotional toll on him.... A toll that has rendered him unhappy despite his millions, and even confused as to his real role as a black man; not to mention his acceptance of his appearance. Who really knows?

I saw the interview where MJ said that his father did beat him, and the brothers also verified it.

Be that as it may, emotional scars suffered in childhood, especially early childhood are usually the worst and can incapacitate a person emotionally and psychologically for their entire life, no matter what achievements they might accomplish. The person may or may not be aware that there is a problem but only good therapy can help them to overcome the damage...so although Mj was no spring chicken, he might have been in a position where he couldn't really help himself.
