A 56-year-old minister of religion who appeared in the Old Harbour Resident Magistrate's Court was told that he would have to remain with the police until month end.
It was revealed that the 'man of the cloth' committed a sexual act against both boys who were under his care. The court also learnt that the acts were committed more than once and that the complainants subsequently reported the assault to a family member.
According to the investigator the police got wind of the situation and following investigations the accused was picked up and charged with buggery.
When the accused who is also a school principal appeared in court, the crown told him that he had betrayed the trust of the complainants who he had taken under his care.
The court also told the pastor that a serious offence had been committed which had scarred the complainants. Reports are that several times during the month of May, the accused allegedly molested the boys ages seven and nine years old respectively.
He is scheduled to reappeared in the Old Harbour Resident Magistrate's Court on July 31.
