TWO men — one armed with a gun the other with a machete — who invaded a home on Sligoville Road in St Catherine last week, were stopped in their tracks by two Christian women who pleaded the blood of Jesus against them.
Reports are that despite pointing the gun at the head of one of the women and pulling the trigger three times, the weapon failed to discharge. Instead, three live rounds fell from the weapon onto the ground. These were later retrieved by the Sligoville police.
The three occupants of the four-bedroom house, two parents and their adult daughter, were at home at about 9:00 am on Tuesday, when the men walked into the house.
According to the daughter, the men mounted the steps and stated their intention of killing her father. She explained that at this point, she felt an anointing from the Holy Spirit and started rebuking them. Her mother, who was inches away, started pleading the blood of Jesus. This angered the thugs who made an attempt to shoot the woman. However, all three attempts failed.
