Okay, how easily do you understand him. I have always said that he doesn't look very Jamaican. I had never heard him speak. Guess what, he's definitely Jamaican. Scroll along to around :50 for the interview to start.

How easily do you understand him? Neutral, Wahalla and others who have not lived in Ja. for a while. I'm curious, is your patois comprehension going? Do you find that the language is changing so much that it's difficult to understand some people when they speak?

If you were in my family, you wouldn't have thought that he doesn't "look Jamaican" lol I understood him easily though... The dutch caught me off guard though haha

Re: Big Yawd. I tried to say this before but my computer was acting up. I saw the original play with the original cast. It was great. Devon Houghton wrote it and I knew him. Peter Williams was in the original cast and he has gone on to bigger and bigger productions. I've posted about Peter before. Devon went to various modelling agencies in town to cast one of the parts and Peter was modelling back then before his acting career took off after that.

Looks like he is going to be in something new with Braddie. More about that in a new thread.

Karen Hazard, a casting director who was already having him in to audition sometimes, cast him as a young Harry Belafonte in a movie after seeing him in Big Yard. I think the role really changed people's perception of him. Before that he had a very smooth GQ kind of image and vibe. Peter really shocked me because I knew him and he spoke with only a slight Jamaican accent. I couldn't believe how strong he came out with the patois. So, I am sure that he would have no trouble understanding any of these videos. I should ask him.

anyway i understand everyone except for the first part of what the second guy in the video part was saying...i think he was speaking kinda fast at first
