yeah, the lack of breasts is confusing me, too. i have a friend who has been a lifelong jock, no fat on her, but still manages to have some raised bumps that could pass for tits.

I think most female distance runners don't menstruate though because their body fat is too low.

ok, the greater concern at hand is this:

She was born with female genitals.

She grew up as female.

She did not undergo any artificial treatment to enhance male features.


Should she, because of genetic abnormality, be disqualified and stripped of her medal as a result of the anticipated findings??????

I think this would be unethical!

Whatever way it goes the IAAF handled the matter in a disgraceful manner. There was no need for them to issue a press realease just before the 800m final. They could have done the test away from the public glare saving the poor girl the embarrassment, she's only 18 yrs old.

In an interview, the communications director for the IAAF admitted that they didn't think she had done anything dishonest.
