Socialite Don Creary who is popular around many elite parties and entertainment hot spots has been charged with rape by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences & Child Abuse (CISOCA).
According to the police Creary was charged on Wednesday afternoon by CISOCA after being questioned in the presence of his attorney, Tom Tavares Finson.
Reports are that Creary and a 22 year old woman took a 15 year old girl to an apartment in St. Mary where she was allegedly given alcoholic beverages and sexually assaulted. The teen told her mother what transpired and a report was filed to the police.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of the two. Both are to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s court later this week.

Former JLP Councillor Don Creary Charged With Rape

Former Jamaica Labour Party councillor for the Castleton Division Don Crearyhas been arrested and charged on rape allegations.
His lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson says Creary was charged in connection with an incident that occurred in 2013.
Creary reported to the Kingston offices of the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse this morning where he was questioned in the presence of his lawyers Tavares Finson and Nadine Atkinson Flowers.

Creary was councillor for the Castleton Division from 2003 to 2007.
Creary will remain in jail.

Apparently Creary father was known to mek advances to young ladies even though he was married. No he did not make advances to me but he did make advances to someone of the previous generation in my family...not saying who.

USINESSMAN and political activist Don Creary has denied allegations that he raped a 15-year-old girl in November 2013."I assure you that I am innocent of these charges as a proper investigation would have revealed," Creary, 48, said in a statement hours after being charged by the police.
"... The modus operandi now is to charge people for these offences based on the complaint, even when there is absolutely no evidence to support the allegations," the statement continued.
Publicist Shaneke Williams, 21, has also been charged with aiding and abetting rape and sexual touching.

Both are expected to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court tomorrow, where their lawyers are expected to apply for bail.
The incident reportedly occurred at an apartment in St Mary, where the girl was allegedly plied with alcohol at the time. She is reported to have told her mother about the incident.
"Today I was questioned by detectives, in the presence of my attorney Mr Tom Tavares-Finson, in relation to an alleged rape which was said to have occurred in 2013," Creary said.
"I am working to have this matter cleared up in the shortest possible time. I will be taking a leave of absence from my business activities, as my legal team moves to have this matter cleared up in the shortest possible time," he added.

Don Creary charged for sex with minors; woman also charged with aiding him to commit crime

Former Jamaica Labour Party councillor, socialite and father of four, Don Creary, is being investigated for sexual activity with minors.
The 48 year old businessman was charged on Wednesday afternoon by the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child abuse CISOCA) after being questioned in the presence of his attorney, Tom Tavares Finson.
Creary is accused of raping a 15 year girl in Havendale, St Andrew in 2013. His friend, Shaneke Williams, has also been charged with aiding and abetting rape and sexual touching. It's alleged that the teen, who is from St Mary, was taken to an apartment in St Andrew where she was sexually assaulted by the two.
The complainant told investigators that she was drugged.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Constabulary Communication Unit (CCU) reported that the teenager was given alcoholic beverages and sexually assaulted. She reported the matter to her mother who filed a complaint with the St Mary police.
Creary, who has denied the allegations, was taken into custody on Wednesday, following a two-year investigation.He subsequently issued a statement, maintaining that he is innocent of the charges. He said he was working to have the matter cleared up "in the shortest possible time."
Creary added that he will be taking leave of absence from his business activities.

Meanwhile, twenty-two year-old Shaneke Williams has been charged with aiding and abetting in connection with the rape charge against
Their attorney, Tom Tavares Finson, says he will be making a bail application when his clients Don Creary and Shaneke Williams appear in court.The two are expected to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court by Friday.
CISOCA reported that since the start of 2015 they have received a total of 278 cases of adults having sexual intercourse with children under the age of 16 in the Corporate Area.

Former Jamaica Labour Party councillor Don Creary has been charged with a second case of rape.Creary, who is also a businessman was charged following a question and answer session today in the presence of his lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson.
It's alleged that in June this year, Creary raped the 19-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew.
The woman reported the matter to investigators in July.
The 48-year-old former politician has denied the allegation.
It is reported that both Creary and the woman admitted to police investigators that they were in a relationship.
Last week, Creary was charged with another case of rape.

He remains innocent till convicted.....but remember this a rapist never stop raping or trying to rape. Clearly they did not get to Mr. Creary in time. Two years is just too long a time to bring charges for crimes like these for anyone, but even more so where the rich and powerful is involved.

Creary offered $4m bail


Businessman and former Jamaica Labour Party councillor Don Creary was granted bail amounting to $4 million when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court today.Creary has been slapped with two counts of rape and was offered $2-million bail on each count.


The 48-year-old was charged last week with raping a 15-year-old girl and was slapped with an additional rape charge on Tuesday.


Publicist Shaneke Williams, 23, was charged along with Creary in relation to the alleged incident involving the 15-year-old in November 2013.


Williams, who has been charged with a count of aiding and abetting rape and sexual touching, was offered $1.5 million bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.
In the latest case, Creary is charged with the reported rape of an 18-year-old woman at an apartment in Meadowbrook, St Andrew, in June.
