CLEARWATER - An elderly woman arrested for allegedly robbing a sandwich shop and a convenience store with a stun gun made her first appearance in court today.
Rose Tyrka, 59, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. She was wheeled into her first appearance in court today, where a judge kept her bond at $200,000.
In the 911 call the Subway employee made after being robbed, she said Tyrka jumped over the counter to get her money back after paying for her sandwich, and said she didn’t want to rob the store, but had to because she had hungry children.
