And you know Gen – I don’t dispute the fact that our govt – and others – do all kinds of dirt – always have and always will – in fact I don’t know any govt that hasn’t at one time or another, lied to its people in some ways large and small; orchestrated grave tragedy, etc.

But – when people have seen, with their own eyes, an aircraft crash into the Pentagon – when the airplane that was flying in the air no longer exists, when people have called their loved ones and said goodbye, when all the people on the plane (as someone said earlier) are no longer here – I just don’t understand the conspiracy theory end of this.

OMG – Gen – we made a good likkle pocket money dah week deh.

We have an SUV.

We lived in Clinton Hill that time.

The first time we picked someone up, it was a woman who was walking down Dekalb with her 2 kids to work. She had sooo much stuff AND the kids AND their back packs.

We couldn’t leave her struggling – we just pulled over and asked her how far she was going and if it was on our way, we’d be happy to take her. They jumped in – it wasn’t totally on our way but of course, we took her anyway.

She INSISTED she pay us. We refused. Girlfriend would NOT get out of the car until we agreed to take something. I’m not kidding.

We settled on $2 – which was the fare at the time. She wanted more but we would take it.

Light bulb goes off and we ended up doing it every morning that week.

We’d drive down Dekalb and see people bundled up walking toward the bridge and to work.

We just stopped and asked – peeps jumped in. Whatever they wanted to give us, they took – some couldn’t give anything.

That was fine by us.

After a while tho ...

... it became too much.

As the strike dragged on, it was too much of a headache. We were always sitting on the west side high way for hours on end.

Traffic for days!!!

Sometimes it took us 3 hours to get to work.

Eventually, I told my boss (me an him did move good) I wasn’t coming to work and I’d just deal from home.

Truss mi.. they scrambled those Fighter Jets IMMEDIATELY, but their first target of defense was the WHITE HOUSE.. by the time they realized that the target was the Pentagon.. all they could do was a fly by and make sure another plane did not land..

On a side note guys - I personally know of 2 people who saw the plane hit the Pentagon - one is my oldest friend from college days, still living in DC - the other, my former brother in law.

2001, I was still working at my last job, Lifetime Television on West 49th Street. Our building was / is, a skyscraper. The nature of our job - everyone had tv's in their offices - when the news came on, we saw it right away.

After the first plane hit, like idiots, we raced up to the roof – we saw the 2nd plane hit the WTC.

What a horrible day – to say the least.

Some of us went back inside – others stayed on the roof.

I ran back to my office like a bat out of hell.

I called my cousin in Ohio asked her if she’s watching the news – we talked for about 5 minutes and the phones went dead.

I used my cell phone and called my Mom in Maryland – she was so calm, very calm.

Me – I was frantic, but her voice put me at a little ease.

I remember asking her if my niece was ok – they were going on a school field trip that day to the National Zoo.

She was fine.

Inquired about all the rest of my family – fine, thankfully.

Shortly after we started talking, my cell died too.

A small group of co workers and I decided – we out!

Everyone was standing around assembling for announcements and started an evacuation plan and lines.

I was O – U – T – out!

I’d wanted to talk to my Mom again and some of us in that group wanted to make calls as well.

There was/is a payphone on the corner outside work and we made a b line for it.

Too late – there were throngs of people waiting already.

We waited a bit but you could tell it would take forever.

We ran down to the 1st level of the subway stop to the pay phone there – only about 1/ dozen people were waiting for it.

Called my Mom again – by this time the Pentagon had been hit.

She told that no matter what, she didn’t want me to get on the subway to get home to Brooklyn.

What was I going to do – how to get home?

Anyway, I told her I promised – no subway.

Our group went to a co workers house who happened to live about 4 blocks from work.

I know now, we were in shock. We all sat and watched the news for about 2 hours.

At one point I couldn’t take it anymore.

I HAD to get home.

I walked – from West 55th street all the way to Brooklyn.

They were still running some abbreviated trains but I was petrified to get on any – besides, none of them were running regular stops or anything. It was a hot mess.

It took me HOURS!! but I walked all the way home – down thru the theater district, mid town, thru chelsea, thru soho, thru china town, city hall and over the brooklyn bridge. There were so many people on the boarded walk of the bridge, there was a palpable swaying - I mean, you could FEEL that thing swaying big time!! The ash and debris and smoke wafted over us.

By the time I got home, I was covered in dust.

Later learned that 1 person in my then apartment building, was killed in Tower One and my boss lost a neighbor as well.

Too much trauma man.

Aye sah. What a day.

Like others I spent the morning just watching the coverage on TV, mesmerized. Then in the afternoon my husband and I went to the Highlands Ferry to help people who just needed to get out of NY find their ways to other transportation or home. Some people were not trusting but many were so we drove from the Ferry to Transit stations, bus stations, some to their homes. Purchased lots of bottled water to give to them. By the afternoon a state of emergency was in effect for NJ and people were just trying to get home.

My next door neighbor worked in the 2nd tower. She saw the plane hit the 1st tower. The safety people at her job said she has to wait for evacuation orders. She said no way is she dying here, walked down 67 flights of stairs got out the building only to see the 2nd tower come crashing down. She lost many co workers that day.

Internet persona Richard Eastman first articulated the case that the piece was planted by observing that while the piece has markings, rivet holes, and shape matching the skin of an American Airlines 757-200 just aft of the forward cabin door, it could not have come from a 757 crashing into the Pentagon because:

It lies far to the port (left) side of the attack plane's flightpath, but it matches the skin on the starboard (right) side of the fuselage,
It shows no signs of abrasion or burning, even though the forward part of the fuselage would have been subjected to some of the most violent forces in a collision.
