Miami police probe death of JDF soldier & family

The police in Miami-Dade are investigating what they believe could be a murder-suicide involving a member of the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF) his wife and their 2-year-old daughter.
Private Jermaine Williams, his common law wife is Shanna Edwards, and their daughter Gynia were found dead in their home Tuesday afternoon.
Police discovered the scene after one of Miss Edwards's co-workers at a retirement home in Southwest Miami-Dade called a family member to find out why she had not showed up to work Tuesday morning.
That family member called police after going to the house and finding that no one would answer the door.
The police entered and found the three bodies.
The police say a motive and the cause of their deaths remains under investigation including the possibility that it is a murder-suicide.
Meanwhile the Jamaica Defence Force issued a statement expressing sadness at the news.
The JDF army said it is investigating the matter to ascertain the precise details of what happened.
According to the JDF, Private Jermaine Williams, has been a member of the Force since 2004, and was on one month's privilege leave.
He left to visit his family last Friday.
