Missing grad student bride-to-be found dead in Yale lab

I was here hoping and praying that she would be found alive..

Her wedding was planned for yesterday, and now...such a promising life snuffed out...gaawn too soon.

Beyond words..

<span style="font-style: italic">Detectives questioned a Yale professor Friday who suddenly canceled class
about the same time graduate student Annie Le vanished, a police source told the New York Daily News.

Le, 24, a doctoral student in pharmacology at the Ivy League university, was supposed to attend the class Tuesday afternoon. But the course was canceled shortly before Le was reported missing, according to the News.
A New Haven police source told the paper that investigators grew suspicious about the timing and questioned the professor. It wasn't known what came out of the interview.
University Vice President and Secretary Linda Lorimer told the Yale Daily News that there is no reason to believe a professor is a suspect in the Le case, and authorities are &quot;interviewing tons of people.&quot; Yale spokesman Tom Conroy said police haven't named any suspects in the student's disappearance.</span>

One of the last place one would expect someone to go missing - at your work place with loads and loads of security in a nice quiet suburban town. My sympathy goes to her family - she should have been safe at Yale.

yuh did see the cleaning lady weh the bway kill dunga rector place ? the more mi think bout it the more mi decide seh mi might haffi leff da work yah enuh, some a dem deh here till all 3.30 am

mi wondering if is somebody just manage fi sneak in or is somebody that have access to the building ?

The cleaning lady was afraid of the elevator operator and she told her husband and children that if anythng happened to her
at work that it would be this guy. She lived in my neighborhood uptown. Yes, one has to be careful when working late at nights. Even the car service drive can 'snatch' you. Son went to Yale and it was always locked 'down and secured' when visiting you felt like you were on an army base so I just don't understand what happened here had to be someone she worked with.

Even before a body was discovered, the case caused widespread alarm among women at the university.
In 1998, the body of Suzanne Jovin, a 21-year-old Yale student, was discovered near the campus.
Her body was covered in stab wounds but the crime was never solved.

just heard a news report suggesting that the police are not telling students to be wary because they already know who they are looking for

This false sense of security, is what can makes people vulnerable. Think of all the cases where people are watching out for Black or Hispanic people coming to rob them, an noh notice the nice looking White dude who jus walked right up and mugged them?

Just yesterday afternoon I heard that the police planned to turn their investigation off campus, but at the same time, they were saying that surveillance cameras had the young lady going into the building, and none showing her leaving. So I thought they would have checked the building thoroughly.

A tragedy for a promising person!
