That's the thing Gen. Although u can see anyone mumbling the said thing, I just find it convenient that the reporter "happen" to catch on tape Barry making such a comment. And then having no compunction about tweeting it all over the place....smells like a set up.

Let's put it this way (regardless of whether or not Kanye was singled by the prez; Obama may have expressed similiar sentiments towards his opponents; we don't know.): calling the birthers, the teabaggers, Joe Wilson, Glenn Beck, Rush, or anyone from the lunatic fringe of the Right "jackass" would have him labeled as "uncivil", "uncouth" and contrary to the image he is presenting of himself, especially since he is on record as speaking out against the "coarsening of dialogue" in American politics.

In my view, "jackass" is the appropriate word to describe these people and groups, but the Right would go after him even more. But saying this about Kanye doesn't upset too many people, even on the left. As a matter of fact, I read that he is getting some 'pats on the back' for it from the other side. In the words of one commentator: "this humanizes the president." I wonder what these same ppl would say if it got out somehow that Obama called Rush, for example, a f***ing a**-****.

Well, Terry Moran wasn't sharing his bed. Besides, he's not likely to suffer any political damage from this undiplomatic comment, not even in the black community.
