Bolt honoured with Order of Jamaica, Highway 2000 to be rena

Usain Bolt will be awarded Jamaica’s fourth highest honour – the Order of Jamaica.

Jamaica Prime Minister Bruce Golding made the announcement during a sitting of the House of Representatives today.

The 23-year-old superstar sprinter will officially be known as <span style="font-weight: bold">The Honorable Usain St Leo Bolt, OJ.</span>

Golding will also announce that Bolt will join fellow sports stars Merlene Ottey, Michael Holding, and Courtney Walsh <span style="font-weight: bold">as an Ambassador-at-Large with full diplomatic status.</span>
In addition, the Jamaica Prime Minister will announce that <span style="font-weight: bold">Highway 2000 – the main thoroughfare that links several of Jamaica’s principal towns will be renamed the “Usain Bolt Highway”. </span>

He always have 2 police bodyguards. It was them ina car behind him that brought him assistance so early after his accident.

btw, y is Ottey still holding diplomatic status wen she gi up di citizenship r was it di representation at events as a yaadie wen she did slow dung ? dont in har lass outings etc, she went wid har new country of residence?

sooo proud of him, he and Shelly Ann and all our hard working athletes and, I am soo very proud of them....great job!!!

as for Powell, it seems he and Bolt have a great relationship, and he is feeding off his energy....i hope he maintains his own stamina and go for it all~~

Agree. I think he is still young, lots of time (to mess up as well as advance). Wait a bit. The man the athlete is great, but wait to see what Bolt the man will turn out to be first.
