Re: mzungu neighbourhood= blakk sellout?
I'll admit it is quite rare that your posts are remotely relevant or sensical. I do see now that I probably should clarify as I did not mean for my post to come across like some kind of forum 'slam' or point score against BG.
capitalism is simply put a system, a means, it is not a possession unless you are speaking of it's tools of implementation- it's a tactic- similar to how people are able to label terrorism as if it is a thing that can label one group of people, and not discern that it is actually the tactic that they employ (as we also employ). As strategy and a tactic it does not belong to any one 'race' or group of people per se except in so much as the group (or enfranchised individual) can exercise control over resources and their flow and benefit from this, and except that we have all inherited the system now perpetrated against the vast majority of the population of the world, and most people, probably 99% of them, are actually quite fine with that.
Hence where I find a great deal of irony in BG's position.
to not see this as the reality perpetuated is to be purposefully obtuse and woefully ignorant. And yet, I would wager unhesitatingly that if one were to think about it, one would not really wish to harm or benefit greatly by putting their foot on another human beings throat. Provided of course they are able to create an empathic bridge to that person, and not succumb to the perpetuation of this idea of the 'other' on which many of our creeds and societies and cultures are generally established and adopted transmitted and inherited. it actually gives me great hope to see how many of our younger generations are actually building these bridges, yet of course we must also recognize that much work needs to be done still.
it's easy to dissemble and point out the glaring micro issue, however doing so does miss the far greater point- and that is, that there isn't a person among us living here in the United States for example that is not a beneficiary of this very general and very real trend of exploitation, and to pretend otherwise is, as I said, to be rather obtuse. More than likely if any of us were to pay a fair market price for our sneakers (or fruit or food or jeans or clothes) we'd have far tougher soles on our feet, for example. Presently there are entire towns and small cities and even populations enslaved for our western lifestyle- brought to us by the tenets and tactics of capitalism, thank you very much.
The question then becomes what is one prepared to do about it.

I suppose the world belong to some race too. since according to the books, it along with the natives inhabiting each newly discovered lands, were discovered incrementally by one and the same race.
