New fees for some passport services

The Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) has announced new processing fees for three of its services <span style="font-weight: bold">effective October 1.</span>
In a notice published in one of the Sunday Papers, PICA has advised that <span style="font-weight: bold">Extension of Stay for visitors, students, work permits, permit exemption and marriage exemption will attract a non refundable processing fee of $10,000 per application. </span>
Applications for unconditional landing will also attract a fee of $10,000 while application for Permanent residence will cost $30,000.
The Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency says the <span style="font-weight: bold">existing fee of $2,000 for alien registration and multiple entry visas are still applicable for some nationals from non-commonwealth countries.</span>
The Agency has also advised that come October 1, services for services for the processing of immigrant as well as non immigrant visas will be offered only at its offices located on Constant Spring Road in Kingston and Union Street in Montego Bay.
