there was another brother, an older one, who was sent back to jamaica when his father was convicted. at the time, that brother was angry about his father's conviction, felt that the father was not as guilty. wonder whatever happened to him.

stepmother also had a baby for father and apparently nearly had a mental breakdown when they took the child away for fostering when she was charged with murder. wonder what happened to that child, too.

this is truly horrible, it reminds me of a latino kid in nyc that got beaten by her step father, and her bio Mom was right there, i forget her name now, but that was heart wrenching to, my god, what could a child ever do to deserve this kind of rage, omg

SistaC - no child merits that. for answers, u have to look at the abuser, and try understand why they do those things. there was an article written at the time marcia dooley was convicted that gave some insights into why she became the way she was, but i can't find it.

i also want to say that a big part of this whole case, for me, is the jamaican culture of "spare the rod, spoil the child". that u can beat behaviour into children, and if they're not responding, to beat them harder. sorry, a so me seet.
