Whether you want to accept this or not, the system is hugely unfair to people of African descent. The U.S. Sentencing Commission found that while more whites are found with illegal drugs and guns, (apples for apples) 90% of those convicted are black.

Would you not say that that is a result of racism?

Whether or not everyone agrees that racism is the main reason for this disparity, the fact that the number of blacks being arrested is very high when compared to the whites, the impact of this unfair rate of prosecution, is undeniable and devastating.

This was the case when they system used this strategy to keep blacks from voting, because of felony convictions, but now one has to wonder why they feel the need to continue this diabolical act...considering.
