He didnt exactly raped her,but as an adult he shjould have known better,...however,I think there are far more important things the US could be pursuing,after 30 yrs its pushing credibility a bit,..I dont think this case will get very far in the courts.

I think this case may be like many others.

What he did in fact was rape her but more often than not the victim will go the route of claiming sexual molestation with a minor because the more serious charge of rape would mean her (the victims) character would be called into question and they can end up feeling further victimized during a trial.
