naturally i stood there and listened to her littany for mussi 20 minnits before i figured out that she was deluded. hennyting like that ever happen tu yu?

gosh i was one-half hour late to take woody for his walk. he almost went berzerk.

many times in my life, even yesterday a man brought back some books I loaned him, studying herbal medicine and he started to reason with me, and I listened and then the red flag went off, this guy isn't all there. But he kept tempting me to engage in a conversation with him, and I started to, but his reasoning, or lack of, was making me feel mad. But he started talking psychology, meaning he kept saying 'the psychology of this person & dat person' and finally, without whacking him over the head with something, I just said, man I don't want to have this conversation, it goes no where. And then he tried to explain the complexity of his own personality, as if he was a doctor and then I told him, thanks for returning my books, looks like the rain soon start, so best take that skliff out to the road and find a taxi.
I have tried more then once and it always leaves me feeling like I'm stuck in a bad Fellini flick.

that's is always part of the captivation and when you walk away, you're still shaking your head. This man is very handsome and has some purity to his madness. But me, I'm not going there.

WHen my Mom was still living she had the most uncanny knack for attracting these kind of folks. Once we were in line to go to the movies and this man was sitting on the street with his back propped up on the wall of the theater. He patiently let about 30 people pass him by and when my mother got even with him he looked up at her and said &quot;Would you please step on my foot.&quot;

my daughter had a knack of knowing them immediately. i'd stand there with the disability person for an hour and she'd be about 14 at the time and she'd say &quot;mom can't you tell this person is crazy, let's go&quot;.

but i can never tell.

there's the toothless lady at the coffee shop at all hours who rants about &quot;Pam&quot; who is jealous of her because she's &quot;hot&quot;.

but honestly, more times i say &quot;there for the grace of god to i&quot;. life throws people some really big rocks.


anyway that lady was telling me how the government barred her from crossing the border and about her umpteen degrees and pedigrees in really obscure areas like lateral psychology, et al.

yeh she had all these bags like a homeless person and she kept telling me about all the projects she was working on and couldn't get paid because somehow the &quot;government&quot; was blocking all her contacts from paying her. she also claimed extensive stints as an athlete, author and councillor to victimized teens and tutor to mothers.
