Marilyn, that is what the press kept reporting but it wasnt true at all. Matter of fact, this was a huge source of annoyance to John because the song really was about a little girl....actually his son Julian drew a picture of his classmate Lucy who had diamonds for eyes....Cant remember his age but they were quite young. And when his dad asked what the pix was about, he said &quot;This is Lucy in the sky with diamonds&quot;. Something really innocent but since this was the 60's the phrase got turned upside down and the LSD reference was attached.

46 is really young and I guess that is why it kinda startled me. I was a big Beatles fan when I was really young and I loved that song.

I should try to find the article about her again. She died of Lupus.

I wonder how many college kids have smoked up and watched that video.
