The way Towngal writes it seems to seem as though it is a victimless crime.

What if a photo was posted of a Jamaican committing a crime against a tourist, let's say for sake of argument the Jamaican was picking the pocket of a tourist when the camera went &quot;click&quot;. Would it be fluffed off as a victimless crime? Should steps not be taken to lay charges against such an individual?

I am not sure what has been going on through the grapevine, as mentioned prior, but I am personally emailing these images to the authorities in Jamaica, if for no other reason than to help stop these criminals from doing this again since they seem to be frequent visitors to the island. I'm also emailing the photos to the Gleaner and the Observer, just because!

i too am a homeowner in jamaica....i also pay taxes just like i do here in the united states.

i think perhaps you forget there is that type of writing all over jamaica from walls to shops. All one has to do is drive and see it. Does it make it right? no...but going after 2 people is hateful...go after the people who do it all the time then, that mark the shops, walls, police stations, rocks, bridges buildings all over the island. Is that ok? You turn a blind eye to what goes on in Jamaica on a daily basis to 2 individuals who..i hope...know they shouldnt have done it.

Who is turning a blind eye? When those &quot;Jamaicans&quot; who do it all the time are stupid enough to have the pictures of their crime go public then I will go after them as well.

As far as &quot;they&quot; knowing they shouldn't have done it, how do you know? They seem pretty proud of the vandalism they perpetrated, taking time to pose with their handy work. The fact that these pictures were posted days, weeks or months after the crime for all to see tells me that they were still proud of their actions as time went by.

Anyway, since they are tourist they probably have nothing to worry about as the police will most likely turn a blind eye &quot;for them&quot;. So it go!
