Well I`m not a londoner,but I do visit camden town market on a regular,I dont think any other london market can beat it for it`s diversity,its vibrancy,and not forgetting the various foods on offer including jamaican cuisine,sunday is the best day,busy but well worth a visit,...there is also portobello road which I`ve been to on a couple occasions.
There are some good flea markets in the east end too. -

I was just reading up on Camden. Some ppl rave about it and others seem cool on it but it seems like there is a built-in snob appeal on these things. Me, I am not so picky. I just love wondering around various markets.
I've also added Portobello Rd to my list as well
Actually, I am looking for any interesting markets in and around London. Gonna google the Kent region and see what is around there as well.Comment

Camden Market - not my pace, but it has a variety of shops, foods, its close to the UK's long running Cottons "caribbean" restaurant.
Portebello Road Market, West London - an extremely vibrant part of London. A truly eclectic location that has everything from sweet potato to real Prada. Antique shopping, clothes shopping, furniture shopping, food shopping. It has it all.
Ridley Road, East London - Laawd. Guh early an wear yuh combat gear! Snappah, goat meat, suplegen, gratah cake, bwilin' chicken, arinj, yam, sawf shooze, pat... etc. You get the picture?
Shepherds Bush Market, West London - as per Ridley but you can get dutch pat tuh. Oh! And it is very close to the BEST ROTI in the UK.
Petticoat Lane Market, E1, City of London - Clothes, bags, a little fruit and veg (English style) - lots of Retail/Wholesale clothes/lingerie shopping to be had
Leather Lane Market, EC1, City of London - Leather goods (duh!)
CDs, electricals
Walthamstow Market, East London (close to my home and the 2012 Olympic site) - English fayre, occasional French / African markets are pitched in the square - - clothes, food, English, Caribbean/African/Indian, small clothes mall also. I think it holds the title of being the longest market in Europe...
Brick Lane Market - Up and coming trendy place to be. Also home to one of the most wonderfully authentic Caribbean restaurants in the UK - The Lane. Love that place! The market has indoor, crafts, jewellery clothes, shoes, etc
As you can tell, I don't really do markets...

I have copied and pasted your list already for future reference
Most of the ones I am finding on the net are tourist focused - nothing wrong with that really but some of the really interesting stuff is found in the not so publicized places
I mean, how on earth would have ever known about the roti if someone else like your good self

Columbia Road Flower Market - East London/City of London (Sundays only). Any plant/flower that can be grown in the UK will be found here. Great splash of colour. Small jewish cafes where you can buy a hot bagle and freshly brewed coffee, lounge by the picture window and watch the rain pelt down and wind howl. As you sit there in your shorts, flipflops and sleeveless blouse (this is England)...
I think that this is also the market where you can buy art... I think its there...
You can purchase art at Brick Lane market also.Comment

I am not a 'Londonner' but I love Green Street market - Forest Gate - eyebrow arched for 1.99 pounds and lot of fruits and vegetables especially mangoes my favorite 'blackie'. Walthamstow crowded market on a Saturday evening - you can hardly put one foot in front of the other and Ridley Road for lots of good buys - from fish to yellow yam, dasheen and inexpensive clothes.Comment

How could I forget
Brixton Market, South London - African, caribbean, English foods, hair, meats, fish, any fake designer you can think of. Weed. Couple of good pattie places. The food at Take Two, Acre Lane is superb Also nice place called Satay Bar, situated just round the corner (forget the road name). If you can dodge the gun fire dem (okay its not <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">that </span></span>bad) then you're good to go in this little locale. Indoor shopping available too.

St Bess, when was the last time you were in Green Street? I find you cannot move for people up there! As for driving Lawx!

My cousins are sometimes-ish about moving around
so I figured if I have a list of places in advance and a good map of the Tube, I wont need them
