Yep - relatives in East London have been planning on renting houses/apartments since some of the events will be in or near Stratford/Leyton/Leytonstone/Hackey neighborhoods. I will be there one way or the other - will not be doing anymore 9 - 5 by that time. There is a brand new railroad station in Stratford ready to accomodate visitors and I noticed on the un-manned train to Ridley Road market that they have been clearing lots and building in prepartion for the olympics.

I plan to be abroad somewhere hot and sunny during the '12 olympics watching the games on a huge flat screen. I go directly through what will be the official main site to get to work and its over crowded now. Its going to be ridiculous during olympic season!

Yes St Bess, they are currently working on extending the East London line.

Angel Market, Islington, North London - Great street market. English/African/Caribbean food stuffs, clothes, shoes, electrics/etc. Very close to a wonderful Street called Upper Street. Filled with very trendy bars, eateries, clothes shops. Great cosmopolitan-ness and atmosphere, even in the rain!

Also at the end of the market is Star Cross School (my old school) or Elizabeth Garrett school as it is now known. The school visited by the First Lady Michelle Obama and where she gave a very powerful heartwarming speech .
