Britisha, I had heard and not believed initially either.

However, with a myriad of ideas out there, there are oft going to be times when one person's idea is similiar to that of another. I do not believe that Chris KNOWINGLY <span style="font-style: italic">stole</span> this young lady's movie then tried to pass it off as his own. He should have had more people working on the pre movie research though.

He was on the radio yesterday and was asked about it.

Him say him si har movie and his is a different take on it..
and he proposed the doc concept to HBO from 2004 and fi har ting was 2007..

I even heard him talk abot the good hair/bad hair thing in standups and at some oprah interview or sumthing..say him dawta was a compliment har white frien hair how it so pretty an say de girl have good hair and she (his dawta) have bad hair..

<span style="font-weight: bold">A judge has dismissed a £3.5 million plagiarism lawsuit against funnyman Chris Rock.</span>

The Everybody Hates Chris star was at the centre of a suit from Regina Kimbell, who alleged he stole her ideas for his upcoming documentary Good Hair.

Kimbell claimed she showed Rock her show, My Nappy Roots, back in 2007 - and he subsequently ripped off her idea, which features celebrities discussing different African-American hairdos.

Rock hit back at the allegations, insisting the only similarity between the projects was the topic.

And a judge agreed with him, dismissing the suit on Thursday, according to TMZ.com.

The show will air in America on Friday.

Hm...prolly now she can have it released again and we can see it and compare the tow...the ratings might even skyrocket.

Soh him lass d errr sheeee lass di case....what a blow !!

Methinks what is interesting is the fact that this show will NOT change people's attitude regarding what they do with/to their hair...cannot even talk about the pittance some women get for selling their hair, that is if they know what happens to their hair when it is cut off.<span style="font-style: italic"> Afterall</span>, SOME women who have had chemo buy human hair wigs to cover their baldness...

...agree with you! </div></div>YOu know I think a lot of hairdressers may end up very upset, and some CHEMICAL companies as well, and weave and wig sellers, and on and on...because maybe, just maybe, if WE see it presented like this raw, but with a sense of humor, tongue in cheek, it might get some folks to thinking.

One thing he said on Oprah was that he wanted to see very young black girls delay this chemical process as long as possible. I will be the first to admit that my X-husband pressured me into doing this to our daughter very young, because his NEW wife's daughter's hair looked so much "better". Mind you now, he kicked in no additional funds to pay for all these beauty shop appointments, (and her beautician wanted CASH only).

My daughter, about 6 years ago made the decision to go perm free, and her hair is STILL grogeous without it.

Maybe if we take a good long look at WHERE our $$$$$$$ are going in this process, and let's not talk about time lost, valuable productive time that could be spent doing something to further our cause and such, (I honestly have a girlfriend who will not let anyone touch her hair but Jenna, and Jenna takes you first come first served. My girlfriend goes every Thursday of her life, and has actually been at Jenna's as late as 2:00 AM, having been there since like 3:30 PM the previous day....but she WILL NOT MOVE and will not give up her spot in line, it's almost like hair wars up in there)just think.

I saw him on OPrah, and those were the 3 things they talked about...money, time lost, and young girls being subjected to the process prematurely.

These "hair" things exposed in this movie are not some FBI CIA BLACK TRADE SECRET that the world should not know about..
