The Burial Grounds of Our Jamaican Ancestors in Panama

The Burial grounds of our Jamaican ancestors who came to work on building the Panama Canal- Mount Hope Cemetery in Colon, and Corozal Cemetery in Panama City- have been included on The World Monuments Fund's Endangered List for 2010. Also included is the shamefully neglected and deteriorating Historic Colon Center.

Since many of our Jamaican subscribers have contacted us at The Silver People Heritage Foundation in search of their ancestors here in Panama, we invite you all to view our press release on our websites to understand the significance of inclusion on this international list.
