The kid say he was hiding because it was 'for the show'...

as in, the whole bleedn thing was staged!

I saw that this morning and the explanation he gave was weak. I think he was &quot;saved&quot; by the little boy getting sick (throwing up) during the interview. I know this sounds bad but that seemed a little staged. He seemed to get sick right when the question was asked...I hope I am wrong.

A six-year-old boy who sparked a massive search and a media frenzy after he was feared lost inside a homemade helium balloon has fuelled speculation that the incident was a hoax.

Millions of TV viewers were riveted as they watched rescuers in Colorado chase the balloon during a two-hour 50-mile flight, believing Falcon Heene was inside.

And then the suspense became almost unbearable as the balloon came down - but without the boy in it, raising fears he had fallen overboard.

After a frantic search, police revealed that Falcon had been actually hiding in the attic of his Fort Collins home all along because he was feeling &quot;scared&quot;.

Speaking after the incident, Falcon's father Richard Heene told US network CNN: &quot;We believe 100% that he was on board.&quot;

Mr Heene said he and his wife had searched their home when Falcon went missing.

But when asked by his father why he did not respond to his name being called, Falcon said: &quot;You said that we did this for a show.
he skies above Colorado were cleared yesterday after Falcon was thought to have taken off with the balloon after it had broken free of its tether.

Falcon's older brother said he saw the youngster climb inside the balloon, which was built by his amateur scientist father and resembled a &quot;flying saucer&quot;, before it floated away.

The balloon drifted thousands of feet high along the edge of the Rockies.

US news networks interrupted coverage of a meeting attended by President Barack Obama to broadcast live footage of the drama.

After the balloon came down without any sign of the boy, search and rescue teams began scouring the countryside.

Local authorities, who had searched the Heene family home but overlooked the attic, said they had no choice but to assume that he was aboard the runaway balloon.

&quot;We had to just try and get that thing tracked, disabled or brought down,&quot; Larimer County Sheriff's spokesman Eric Nelson said.

&quot;As it turned out, the balloon was deflating itself and we never had to do that.&quot;

Mr Heene described the balloon as an experimental craft that &quot;people can pull out of their garage and hover above traffic 50ft to 100ft&quot;.

He declined to explain how it broke free of its moorings, saying: &quot;There was a mishap. I'm not going to lay the blame on anybody. It was supposed to be tethered down and it wasn't tethered down.&quot;

so a big story now is whyt he media continue to follow this even though it was not a real story (once dem realize sey the balloon could not carry way the child - which i understand was early on)
