re: Mailboxes

who is responsible for the upkeep/maintenance of mailboxes in residential areas? not the ones on private properties, but the ones that are in apt/condos or the community boxes in townhouse communities?

mi not chatting the blue drop boxes.

it seems to be a back and forth.

di hoa seh is di post office...post office seh is hoa.
dem change out the house to house mail delivery for few neighborhoods around here to those centralize mailbox wid di keys.
dem thinking about doing the same to our community, but mi hear people complaining that the upkeep is questionable.

The HOA is responsible per the paragraph above if they purchased the mailbox

im assuming that the HOA did not purchase them so the post office supplied them and as such they are still their property and they dont usually allow modification to their property so they should maintain then .
